WHY I AM VOTING FOR DONALD TRUMP EVEN IF IT IS TRUE THAT HE HAD BEEN UNFAITHFUL TO HIS WIFE AND HAD COVERED IT UP By B. Clifton Looney Background of the Story of Donald Trump’s Alleged Immorality that the Democrat’s Claim Should Bar Him from Office Alvin Bragg, admitted during his campaign speech, when he was running to become the District Attorney for Manhattan, that he was pursuing a vendetta against Donald Trump. After Alvin Bragg was elected District Attorney, he dedicated his efforts to his primary goal of defeating Donald Trump’s chances to be re-elected president of the United States of America. In order to accomplish his goal, Alvin Bragg diverted the resources of his office from prosecuting serious, violent felonies that gave rise to a tremendous increase of violent crime in Manhattan. Now Alvin Bragg exults that he has been able to convict Donald Trump, a member of his Manhattan community, of 34 felonies for having signed a number of checks to pay hush money to a female who denied on several occasions that she had ever slept with Donald Trump up until the time she apparently became decided it would be beneficial for her career as a porn star and financially profitable for her to expose Donald Trump’s alleged immoral indiscretion with her. THE QUESTION REMAINS: DOES THE ALLEGED FACT, EVEN IF TRUE, THAT DONALD TRUMP SOUGHT TO KEEP THIS ALLEGED AFFAIR SECRET, MAKE HIM GUILTY OF A CRIME FOR WHICH HE SHOULD BE PROSECUTED? It seems that there is a deep division of opinion on this matter between politicians on the left and politicians on the right. Since the beginning of time, men have shown a proclivity or a weakness for the opposite sex. Some say that it was the original sin that Adam and Eve committed in the Garden of Eden, although this is doubtful. Then there is the case of King David who committed adultery with Bathsheba, and possibly had her husband killed in battle. When Christ suggested those who were without sin should cast the first stone at the woman taken in adultery, the crowd of men suddenly stricken in their consciences, for they were guilty of sin, put down their stones and walked away in shame. Yes, men, even to this very day, struggle with the desires of the flesh. Illustrations of this fact are numerous. President Clinton has been alleged to be a notorious adulterer. President Kennedy reputedly had a torrid affair with Marilyn Monroe. These two past presidents have been exalted by history as two of our country’s most popular past presidents. Of course, there are those who remained faithful to their marital vows. President Nixon was never accused of having had an affair. Nor was Jimmy Carter. Ironically, their time in office has been denigrated by historians. Now Alvin Bragg states that it was a crime for Donald Trump (I don’t say President Trump because Judge Juan Merchan says he was merely a member of the community when he was judged by a jury of his peers) to have sought to keep his sordid affair with a self-proclaimed porn star secret from the voting public. Bragg insists that this was the crime of election interference. Afterall, citizens of this country before they vote have to be assured of the moral purity of the nominees for office according to Bragg. Lucky for Clinton and Kennedy that there was no Alvin Bragg to bring them down. Otherwise, they may not have been presidents of the United States, and we must presume that this means according to Alvin Bragg that our country would have been better for it. But that last part is not really important now. Did the voting public really have a right to know that Donald Trump was alleged to have had an affair with a porn star prior to their voting? If not, maybe it really was not a crime for Donald Trump if he sought to keep the affair secret from the public. Donald Trump did not rape Stormy Daniels. After repeatedly denying she had an affair with Donald Trump, she finally made a confession that she had a consensual affair with him. And this was after she had signed a contract negotiated by the attorney Michael Cohen to not disclose the alleged affair with Donald Trump. She was handsomely paid to the tune of $130,000 for executing this non-disclosure agreement to keep her consensual affair with Donald Trump secret. What a nice lady she was. She even appeared as a very willing witness to testify of Donald Trump’s crime, which most assuredly she would not have been able to describe because of its utter complexity, other than that she had had a consensual affair with him that she was paid to keep secret. Sounds like she was very repentant, doesn’t it? Donald Trump has publicly admitted he likes beautiful women. It is entirely conceivable that he may have been seduced by a beautiful woman to have sex with her. His alleged paramours always conceded that prior to, during and after the consensual affairs with them, that he was a complete gentleman. One even admitted that she was in love with him. Well, if the public had a right to judge him prior to voting for him, would it not be fair to examine what probability that they would have rejected him as their president in light of all the circumstances of his life? He was a great family man. His children turned out to be wonderful, productive, outstanding individuals. Not all past or the present American President can make that claim. Of course, Donald Trump allegedly did break his vows to his wife Melania. She has not publicly, as far as I can determine, forsaken him for his unfaithfulness to her. Maybe, he repented in sack cloth and ashes to her for all I know. She has stood by him. I don’t know why she was expected to be at the trial attended by Stormy Daniels. Wouldn’t that have opened up some wounds, if in fact she had been emotionally wounded? Can we now expect Alvin Bragg to go after Joe Biden because he may have kept quiet his own immoral indiscretions of the past? He allegedly had an adulterous affair with his present wife while she was married to her former husband. Of course, this may be utter speculation. But shouldn’t it be investigated? We have to be sure that the citizens of the United States have assurance of the moral purity of their choice of candidates before they cast their votes. Well, maybe he who is without sin should cast the first vote not in favor of the allegedly immoral candidate. Oh, then they would possibly in this coming election, not be voting for either of the two candidates. What a dilemma! To solve that dilemma, maybe it would be better to judge the candidates based on their past performance in office. What a novel idea that is. And then the voters wouldn’t have to wrestle with their own consciences prior to voting.
